About mytimetheirtime

mytimetheirtime is a free tool to share when you're free with someone in another time zone. You mark your hours on your own clock, and they see them on theirs.

Why I made it

I'm Yash Bavadiya, a computer science student at IIT Jodhpur in India. I work with a founder in the US. One night he asked when my classes were, and I typed out "classes 9 to 12 IST, exam 6 to 7, free after midnight too". He then had to convert every one of those to his time. There was no quick way to just show him, so I built one.

How the times are worked out

Every conversion uses the IANA time zone database built into your browser, the same data your phone and laptop clocks use. Times are converted for the exact date you pick, so daylight saving changes land on the right day. The converter pages for each zone pair (like IST to EST) are made from that same data, and every number on them is computed, not typed by hand.

What happens to your data

Nothing is stored. There are no accounts and no cookies, and the times you mark live only in the link you share. See the privacy page.

How it's paid for

The tool is free. A few sponsor slots on the side of each page keep it running.
